About the Event
We are excited to host a new group exhibition: Black Queer GRITS, opening March 27 in our Atlas gallery.
The show comes from Black Queer GRITS (Girls Raised in the South) and contains work from: gabrielle, azul, cal, jay jackson, talia scott, shawn williams, mariah roseboro, sanaya blake, courtney sergile, nilee kerr, chandler golden, pelumi sholagbade, zaza willis, isabella salcedo, justice carter, rediate zewde, natasha campbell, alora bess, angelica credle, tiya ayele, zuri white-gibson, shannon wright, talaya matthews, angeling d. jones, della mosley, deirra clyburn, chelsea flowers, and aja williams A public reception with accompanying performances from some of the artists will be held on April 3rd from 5-8 p.m. as part of RVA First Fridays. Black Queer GRITS is an exhibition created for and by southern black queer femmes.
