About the Event
Join us for the celebration of our Black Is _____ 365 project’s one-year anniversary!
The event consists of an exhibition of in-progress artwork created by the young people in our community and Atlas teen programs, a drum circle, and art activities.
We’re starting the evening by gathering at the Maggie L Walker Memorial Plaza at 5 p.m. for remarks by Richmond community leaders and a processional from the plaza to artist Chris Visions' Sankofa mural at the corner of Brook Rd and W Marshall St. We will close with the dedication and declaration of our Atlas gallery as a restorative community space.
