Life is fun ... but not if you carry a gun.
Poems in this book were written by children from the Gilpin housing community in Richmond, Virginia.
The children were encouraged to share something of themselves -- to tell their stories.
For many of them, these words represent their first exposure to poetry. For many of us, they represent our first exposure to their world. A world made up of pizza and God, fear and basketball, popcorn and dreams.
The book features a full-color spread for each young artist's chosen poem, illustrated and interpreted by an area artist.
66 pages, 6" x 6" spiral bound. $18.75 includes tax & shipping
